Zentangle.............

Ive found a new love........................Zentangle! Actually Ive been zentangling for years but didnt realise it! Zentangle is a black ink drawing of a random shape with a series of patterns or doodles completly using your imagination to make a totally unique design. It is totally addictive and very relaxing. If you love doodling then you will love Zentangle! :)

Ive 'zentangled' some Christmas trees and made them into cards, considering I havent made a card in quite some time Im pretty pleased with the effect. Right its time to watch some telly and doodle some more Zentangles.

Well I didnt exactly get the scissors and double sided tape out but I did unearth a forgotton folder on my computer with lots of clipart and some old publishing software and remembered how much I used to enjoy digital designs. I did this A3 picture for my son Nat's bedroom wall. I love it!

Whilst searching through the forgotton folders I found pics of similar projects I did several years ago. And here they are:

Im feeling the urge to get back on the crafting wagon. Since my son Nat was born in January 2010 I havent picked up any sparkly card, double sided tape, stamps or even a sticky dot! I dont know where you guys with kids find the time to craft. By the time Ive put him to bed and Ive sat down I dont feel like getting all my stuff out. BUT its all there, still neatly away in my glorious craft cupboard and tonight is the night. My friend is getting married next month and I want to make her a special card. I made an ampersand card for my sis & bro in law a couple of years ago and want to try that again. So watch this space!

Ive been a bit preoccupied with my new venture as a Slimming World consultant since the beginning of January so havent had much time to do any crafting lately. But Birthdays still keep coming so its a case of get those scissors and cuttlebug out and get on with creating! Actually Id forgot how much I like crafting, its been nice to have a little break as now Im all motivated again! Might have to have a look thru some of the challenge blogs!

Cuttlebug fun

Finally found a bit of inspiration to do some crafting. These are very simple envelope cards which I jazzed up with the cuttlebug. I used the nestability dies to cut the inserts and then did a bit of doodling to make them look a bit more interesting.

This one I attacked with a glitter pen to make the paisley stand out.

Well apart from the two blog challenges Ive done today Ive also had a bit of a crafting play yesterday and this is what I came up with.

I love this cute princess image. I coloured this in using sakura pens.

These animal images were a freebie with a magazine, I still havent decided whether this is going to be a bookmark or a topper for a card.

Using the freebie animal images again I made this childrens card.

I am currently hosting a British themed bookmark swap on Crafts Chatter. I decided on tea and cakes for mine.

My friend recently had a baby but I havent sent this card yet because the baby still doesnt have a name!!

This one went a bit wrong cus the top fell of the glitter glue and went EVERYWHERE!!! I managed to scrape most of it and rescue the card as best I could and to be honest to a non crafter I doubt they would ever see my mistake. Very difficult to see the teddybear in this pic but he is a very cute image.

We have a RAK swap called Friend to Friend on Crafts Chatter and my current swap partner loves green and oriental so I combined the two and came up with this. I love it, hope she does to!

I actually managed to get a bit of crafting done sitting in the sunshine outside last week in Wales with my sister in law Adele. We had a lovely relaxing day just crafting and stopping every now and again for a cuppa and some biscuits! Oh and then a bit later on we hit the gin, think thats when the crafting got shelved LOL

The idea that this bank holiday Monday I was going to spend the whole day watching tv and crafting. Well it didnt quite go according to plan and this is all I managed to turn out.

I made a couple of bookmarks for my mom and sister. The characters are on card but the text is on acetate. Then I tied the card and acetate together with ribbon.

I love this pretty bracelet, took me ages to put all the little rose beads on it!

Here are some keyring/handbag charms I made yesterday.Very difficult to see on the photo but this first silver one was a nightmare to do. Extreemly fiddly as I beaded inside the cage but it looks fab - think Im going to keep that one for myself. I love working with the cages but they do take some patience especially if you are really clumsy like me. I had all but finished the bottom brass one and had spent ages doing the beading inside, was just about to twist the metal at the to to finish it and oooops dropped it! Had to start all again!! Arhhhhhhhhhhh

Also made this scooter card for a friend of mine. The scooter image is actually a photograph of his bike which I printed and then decoupaged.

Ive finally done some crafting Whooooo!

Here are some bookmarks Ive made for a group swapAnd here is another card that Ive made for the July Chatter Challenge using the papers I designed. I printed the spotty background onto card and added a couple of stripes from the stripy paper as a border. I then printed the small flower design background onto acetate, added this lovely stamped image which I coloured with sakura pens and a double ribbon.

And a little bookmark with a few bits I had left over from the challenge papers.

Im sad today cus my face hurts. Used some Avon Face wash yesterday and my face is burnt! Booooo hoooooo. I dont have any face makeup on at all so I look a total freak and my skin is all red and bumpy. I really do look like Ive been in the sun and I look HORRID and its very painful. I would prefer to stay at home away from people today but no chance!

Ive been a bit slack with my crafting lately. Im just not feeling inspired. I did make this card for a friends daughter but thats about it!

Also Ive been very busy setting up a blog for our bodyshop at work. Scootstyle Im really pleased with how its turned out even if its my car that is subject today LOL! Im just glad it wasnt me driving last night!

No crafting today, been too busy playing! This afternoon Heather dropped Halle & Kian off whilst she went for an interview. The weather has been absolutly fab and we've had such fun in the garden. The kids played dirt pies on the patio. Kian tried eating the dirt twice YUK! Then Scott got out a big roll of foam that he uses for work and they took it in turns getting into it and rolling around the lawn! Im not sure who was having more fun, Halle or Scott? I havent laughed so much in ages, it was good fun, we even got Heather to play when she turned up!

I LOVE this collection, the colours and styles are gorgeous. Im really looking forward to seeing what Chatter members come up with.

Ive also finally finished my blue fatbook pages for the rainbow fatbook swap. There are 9 of us involved and each of us have been given an allocated colour. We send all our finished pages to the host and she then will send us back a page in each colour hence the rainbow!

Ive been playing with a card I made a few days ago, I thought it looked a bit boring so I added a big flower and the ever faithful peel offs and glitter. I like it now! :)

Well postie bought me a lovely parcel of goodies today courtesy of my friend Shirley
She had sent me LOADS of stamped images, they are defaintly going to keep me busy for quite a while! Thanks chick, hope the cuttlebug papers get to you quickly!
Ive been busy with customers this morning at work and still managed to get the June Voting up and running on the group. There are some fab creations this month, think the voting is going to be close!
Im going to think about the July challenges tomorrow, might have something new up my sleeve! ;) I want to get everyone thinking about summer, bbqs, flowers, sunshine etc! I want happy thoughts LOL (Am I turning hippy?)

OOOOOOOOOOOO New Cuttlebug fings!! How exciting

Not very good photos - mirror card really doesnt photo well but you get the idea. I do love these new folders and borders. The paisley backing paper is one of my own.

I made this card for my nephew Kians Christening. Im not good with Christening cards but I tried to make this simple but still nice. Im pretty pleased with the effect.

The Butterfly card I actually made for a wings challenge on my MSN group Crafts Chatter but decided to personalise it for Halle Maes Birthday. I really like this card and more importantly so did Halle!

Ive been doodling crazy lately. I have so many little doodles to get onto the computer to use in crafting. Drawing the doodles is the easy bit - finding the time to do something with them seems impossible! I also have a mountain of photographs to go through and utilise so my crafting friends can also get some use out of them. Not much point having a load of copyright free pics if nobody can use them is there?
